New in The Brief: Create Carousel Posts for Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn

This summer, we've been releasing quite a few hot new features. Today, it's time for you to take a closer look at the latest one—carousel maker and download.

Yes, we now have the carousel format in the app, and you can create a carousel post for Instagram, Facebook, or LinkedIn, and download it.

Carousel ads are one of the best options to consider when you want to showcase multiple products, services, or features in a small ad space.

But wait, there's more.

Recently, we've partnered with Socialinsider to analyze 22,360,021 Instagram posts, out of which 2,949,312 were carousels.

This study showed a few undeniable facts:

  • Instagram carousel posts have the highest engagement rate compared to image or video posts;
  • Carousels offer brands more options when it comes to including images and videos;
  • Carousel videos receive more comments than image or mixed carousels.

That being said, if you're not using the carousel format, you should.

Without further ado, let's uncover all the good stuff that comes with The Brief's new carousel feature.

1. Log into your The Brief account

Click Create New, select Single design, then type in the search bar "carousel" to find the carousel format.

Or you can scroll down to the social media section and click on the carousel size.

The dimension for the carousel format is 1080 x 1080 px, which means that you can use this type of post for Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

By choosing the preset size, you'll be confident that your carousel cards will look good every single time on all of those social media platforms.

2. Choose your template or start from scratch

Next, you can look through the templates and see if you find one that suits your needs.

All of the templates have multiple slides, so a big part of your work is already done.

If you're feeling creative, you can always Start from blank, and create your own carousel post from scratch. Feel free to upload your own images or videos, your own custom font, or use the photos and videos available in the stock library.

Use the drag-and-drop motion to bring your images onto the canvas.

On the right upper side of the screen, you have the Slides option, from where you can view or edit any slide, duplicate slides, delete slides, or add more. You can perform this action at any given moment in your creation process.

Don't forget that the limit for the carousel posts is at ten slides.

3. Edit to perfection

What's left for you to do is to edit each slide, so they match your brand's identity. You can change anything from the font to the text, images, colors, or the number of the slides.

4. Download your final work

All the edits you make will be saved automatically, so when you're ready to publish your carousel post, you can download your work in PNG, JPG, or PDF format.

Select the JPG or PNG format if you're going to use the carousel on Facebook and Instagram. Download in PDF when you need the post for LinkedIn.

In both cases, you can choose whether you want to download all the slides, the first one, the last one, or a specific one, after selecting the format and quality of the visual.
